Educational Articles and Resources

Below you will find links to a myriad of educational articles written by MABCR volunteers in the hopes that sharing our knowledge will be helpful to others. The articles will open in pdf format that you can read online, or print for reference. Subjects are arranged by like topic grouping.

We have also included articles written by others and have included attributions and weblinks within the PDF. If you would like more information on those topics, please use those sources.

If you would like information on a subject not found here, or have questions not answered, please feel free to email usĀ here.

We’d also like to offer you links to online training resources that are available for lifetime learning through other sources:

  • SpiritDog Online Training – Steffi offers a number of paid courses to take you through your lifetime with your dog(s). We highly recommend her courses as add-ons to your in-person trainings. Her facebook page also offers quite a bit of advice and training tips at no cost.
  • Pupford Academy – recently began offering a free 30 day training module to help new adopters of dogs get the best leg up on helping their new pup settle well into their new home. Zak also has a facebook page with a lot of valuable information, as well as youtube videos that are free to view.
  • Kikopup – Emily is a training content provider and doesn’t have a main website, but does have a lot to offer on YouTube as well as other social media. Her videos are simple and easy to follow.
  • Kyra Sundance has written some excellent books on trick training, including books for kids to teach dogs tricks, which is an excellent way to get your kids involved in helping your dog become the best dog they can be. Kyra also offers videos and social media as resources.

Hope you find some of these resources to be helpful!
