We’ve done our best to compile good educational materials regarding Border Collies, canine health and well being, sports involving dogs, training and behavior, as well as other special interest topics.
You can visit our edu page for resources for all thing Border Collie! We frequently post articles on our Facebook page, which you can find the link to at the bottom of this page.
You can schedule one-on-one, private counseling with our Executive Director, Sarah Ruckelshaus. With nearly 25 years experience training, studying behaviour, and living with (lots and lots of) border collies, Sarah can help you navigate nearly any Border Collie issue.
In-person Consultation & Assessment. Our initial in-person, on-site assessment and consultation will last approximately 1-2 hours. During that time we will discuss your dog’s issues and what you have already tried to do to overcome those issues. Some supportive recommendations will be given during this time. Follow-up consultations and assessments can be scheduled as needed.
MABCR Camp. If you’d like to leave your dog at MABCR Camp for one-on-one intense work we require a minimum of four weeks commitment. We will work with your dog daily to help him/her overcome the issues present. At intervals through the month we will work with you so that you can continue your dog’s training at home. Dogs will be accepted as time and space permits. Any issues beyond our expertise will be referred elsewhere.
Phone Consultation. You can consult with us about training or simple issues via phone.
Consultations and assessments are scheduled on site at our location. MABCR adopters should consult directly with Sarah regarding assistance.
To schedule or inquire about any of the training above, please email Sarah Ruckelshaus at SLR@mabcr.org. Payments are accepted via PayPal or check – payment must arrive prior to your scheduled call or visit.
