This 8-foot leash features 1/2” wide harness leather, with brass snaps at both ends and sewn seams. Two rings make it possible to use the leash many different ways, including *clipping the leash around your torso to walk “hands free” with your dog, *making a loop at one end to use it as a conventional leash, *walking two dogs at once, or *clipping the leash to a post or other structure temporarily. Measurements and Tethering: The leash is divided into three sections by two rings, sewn in place. The length of the center section is 37 ½”. The two end sections are 22 ½” and 36”. The shorter end section is perfect for clipping to the nearest ring to make a conventional leash. Or use it to clip around a post to tether. For hands-free walking, clip the snap from the short end to the ring closest to the 36-inch end section, and loop the leash over your shoulder and across your body. Your dog then has a 36-inch leash, which will keep him right by your side. If you are wearing winter coats or want a shorter hands-free leash, clip the snap from the 36” inch end to the ring nearest the shorter end to leave a 22½” leash.
